Will is the author of the bestselling book, The World Peace Diet. He has been vegan since 1980, and is a former Dharma Master in the Zen Buddhist tradition. Will, along with his partner Madeleine - a Swiss visionary artist, has been travelling full time since 1995, bringing the message of radical inclusion and peace to humans all over the planet. Episode 7 features Laura Schleifer - a writer, theater artist, and educator whose work has spanned the globe from the Middle East to Nicaragua to China and beyond.

Laura is a pro-intersectional vegan, and active in the Palestine Liberation Movement. She created the word “artivist” to describe her vocation as an artist-activist. As a Jewish American she traveled to the West Bank in Palestine, performing with a theatre tour for children. She’s working on a book for Vegan Publishers and regularly speaks publicly about the ways in which the struggle for human liberation intersects with the movement for the liberation of other animals. Kim Socha, who holds a PhD in English Literature and Criticism, is an English professor working in the US. A grassroots animal liberation advocate, Kim is also active in drug policy reform, and transformative justice.

Kim is the author or editor of 4 books relating to animal rights and veganism including her most recent from 2014, Animal Liberation and Atheism: Dismantling the Procrustean Bed. Prof. Socha joined us to speak about that book, in which she makes the case that adherence to any of the world's major religions is antithetical to an animal liberation perspective and practice.
