ARZone Vegfest London 2018 Series FARRAH RAINFLY

In this interview we welcomed our special guest, Farrah Rainfly. 

Farrah is a Food for Life instructor with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine and the founding director of Social Enterprise Lifeafterhummus., a London-based  BME led Community Benefit Society who are on a mission to pioneer nutrition and lifestyle intervention solutions for a changing health and care landscape to improve the physical and mental health of the public and reduce health inequalities, tackle food poverty, and reduce social isolation whilst operating within an intersectional framework. 

Farrah will be speaking at Vegfest London this year and joins us today to speak about that and her work in general.

ARZone Vegfest London 2018 Series ~ GEERTRUI CAZAUX

In this interview we were very pleased to welcome our special guest, Geertrui Cazaux

Geertrui (Trudi) graduated in criminology and environmental sciences . As a research assistant, she explored the sociology of human, animal relations, and has a (PhD in anthropocentrism and speciesism in contemporary criminology). Geertrui edited the book 'Mensen en Andere Dieren' (Humans and Other Animals) in 2001, which is in Dutch

She later worked in youth care and as a policy adviser.
Now full time at home because of chronic diseases, she enjoys gardening and taking care of other animals. She writes about veganism and animal rights at Graswortels.org and Brugesvegan.com.

Geertrui will be speaking at Vegfest UK London this year and joins us to give us some insight into those talks and her work in general.

ARZone Vegfest UK London 2018 Series ~ Jeremy Hess

In this interview we were pleased to welcome our special guest, Jeremy Hess. 

Jeremy uses his street interviews and free resources, to demonstrate  how behavioural psychology can help us to communicate effectively with people who aren’t yet vegan.

He develops content for the Vegan Publishers Facebook page, is a vegan mentor, and runs the Vegan Interactions Facebook group designed to share strategies and provide support. Jeremy will be speaking at Vegfest UK London this year and joined us to give an insight into those talks and to his work in general,

ARZone Vegfest London 2018 Series ~ Clare Mann

In this interview Roger and I were pleased to welcome Clare Mann as our special guest. 

Clare is an Australian based vegan psychologist, communications trainer and animal advocate. She consults with people around the world to help address the personal and social challenges of living vegan in a non-vegan world, and has recently released a book called Vystopia: The anguish of being vegan in a non vegan world. 

Clare also runs training programmes in communication, team building and ethical leadership.

ARZone Vegfest UK London 2018 Series ~ Dan Kidby & Massimo Viggiani

In this interview we were pleased to be joined two special guests, Dan Kidby and Massimo Viggiani. 

Dan is a campaigner, social movement researcher, trainer and animal lover. He is a co-founder of Animal Think Tank, a collective which seeks to develop and share knowledge about how to build an inclusive and strategic mass movement for animal liberation. He was a deckhand during Operation Nemesis, Sea Shepherd’s most recent anti-whaling mission in Antarctica and he has been active in various social justice movements ranging from free education, climate justice, the rights of indigenous people and more.

Massimo has a master’s degree in Arts and Humanities and a postgraduate degree in Education. He writes for anti-speciesist Italian pages on social media and currently co-organises events in Italy for The World Day for the End of Speciesism and other events. Massimo is opposed to speciesism and to all other forms of oppression. 
Both Dan and Massimo  manage the Facebook page, Animal Resistance, which is linked to in this interview. 

Dan will be speaking at Vegfest UK in London this year, and both him and Massimo joined us to speak about that talk and about their work with Animal Resistance.

ARZone Vegfest UK London 2018 Series ~ Carol Adams

In this interview, the first in our new series for Vegfest UK’s London event this year, we were very excited to welcome our good friend, Carol J Adams. 

Carol is the author of many books, most famously, The Sexual Politics of Meat, now in a 25th anniversary edition, Burger, part of the Bloomsbury’s Object Lessons Series, and the recently released Protest Kitchen: Fight Injustice, Save the Planet, and Fuel Your Resistance One Meal at a Time. 

She has been an activist against domestic violence, racism, and homelessness, and for reproductive justice and fair housing practices. She pioneered work on domestic violence and harm to other animals. 

Carol will be speaking at Vegfest UK London this year and joined us to give us an insight into what we can expect  there.
