While I strongly identify with the anger and sense of urgency common to the movement, I identify even more strongly with Steve's appraisal of our legal and cultural landscape and his tactical objective to gain a foothold in the legal system.

Thank you all so much for this. You anticipated my own questions and he gave great answers. I feel uncharacteristically poised and grounded after listening to this. Good stuff :)

As an anthropologist who has always argued with my professors, peers and colleagues that many non-human animals should be afforded personhood, I was absolutely delighted to hear of this project. This work is so important to the future of so many species that are nearing extinction, as well as to our own future. There is a wealth of information which is being obtained every day that holds such promise for helping us understand ourselves better, and the interactions of all beings on our planet. Thank you to Steve and all his colleagues for the tireless work they are doing to create this necessary social change!
